Medical & Fundraising Disclaimer

What this campaign is, and what it does not claim.

Medical

This website shares Jackson’s personal story and medical history to raise funds and awareness. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment recommendations, and it should not be used to make decisions about anyone’s care.

Deep Brain Stimulation is described here because it has been recommended for Jackson by his treating clinicians at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai, India, after clinical assessment. Whether it proceeds, and what it achieves, remains their decision and his.

Outcomes vary between patients. No treatment, DBS included, can guarantee a specific result. Nothing on this site is a promise that Jackson’s tremors will stop or that he will recover a particular level of function.

Fundraising

Hope for Jackson is an independent personal fundraising campaign run on behalf of Jackson and his family. It is not a registered charity or nonprofit, and donations to it are not tax-deductible.

The $35,000 goal is drawn from the written estimate issued by Jaslok Hospital, published on the Proof & Verification page. Funds raised are intended for Jackson’s treatment and the travel, accommodation and follow-up care it requires. Hospital costs can change, and additional stay or investigations would be billed as incurred.

If the campaign raises less than the estimate, funds will go toward Jackson’s treatment and related medical care. If it raises more, or if treatment cannot go ahead, the surplus will go toward his ongoing care and rehabilitation. Any material change to that will be posted on the Updates page.

Donations are processed by an external fundraising platform, subject to its own terms, fees and refund policy. This site never handles payments or payment details.

Supporting documents

The records published on this site are Jackson’s own, shared with his family’s consent and redacted to remove personal identifiers. They are offered as supporting documents so donors can see where the campaign’s claims come from.

No third party has independently audited them, and this campaign does not describe them as verified. Older records use a different surname to the one the campaign uses; that difference is explained on the verification page rather than edited out.

In short

This site tells Jackson’s story and supports an independent fundraiser for his treatment. It is not a registered charity, not a source of medical advice, and not a guarantee of any medical outcome.
